Software can check selected sources, remove duplicates and help draft a concise summary. It cannot invent quotes, reporter names, event dates or crime rankings. Burlington News remains responsible for what it publishes.
- Uncertain facts are omitted or labelled, not guessed.
- Live utility pages show scheduled or “no current sample” rather than a fake live number.
- Editorial illustrations are labelled as illustrations.
- Automated monitoring does not turn an unverified social post into an article.

Burlington News may generate article audio in advance with a text-to-speech service, then host that file with the story. The software does not invent new facts while reading. If a story has no generated audio file, the Listen control is hidden rather than falling back to the device’s built-in robotic voice.
