Woman killed in Burlington hit-and-run; police searching for dark sedan

Halton Regional Police say an adult female pedestrian has died after a hit-and-run collision in Burlington Thursday afternoon.

Police said the collision happened at approximately 3:45 p.m. in the area of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road.

Police are searching for a dark-coloured sedan described as the suspect vehicle.

Maple Avenue is closed in both directions between Richmond Road and Hammond Street. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
