Millcroft Greens has submitted an Official Plan amendment and draft plan of subdivision for the remaining golf-course lands at 2155 Country Club Drive, 4135 Millcroft Park Drive and 4291 Couples Crescent.

The proposal is for 138 homes: 73 single detached homes and 65 townhouses. The City of Burlington lists the Phase 2 application as under review and says it has not been approved.

Why this matters

The remaining lands are currently part of a long-running fight over whether portions of the private golf course should stay open space or be converted to housing. The City has separately asked the province to protect remaining open-space lands through a Minister’s Zoning Order, while the landowner has sought provincial approval for residential uses.

What happens next

City planning staff are reviewing the application. If the application proceeds through the normal planning process, public notice and a staff recommendation to Council are expected before a municipal decision.
